I had shaped beam radiation when my colon cancer spread to my liver. The radiation focuses on must the tumor. A few days of shaped beam radiation therapy and I was good to go again with no sickness, pain or change in life style. I had my initial treatments at the University of Rochester in Rochester NY but there are other places with the machinery to do this treatment. I have a reccurrances of my cancer every two years for ten years and this treatment has been literally a life saver. I can't recommend it highly enough.
