I just found this site. Hope your sister in law is doing OK. I was diagnosed 1 year ago with IIIC invasive lobular cancer (18 positive lymph nodes), triple positive. I had surgery, then chemo, then radiation. My chemo was taxotere, carboplatinum, and herceptin. Now I'm on Arimedex. I was so lucky to have great access to great medical care.

Jivan. It sounds like your sister-in-law is lucky to have you working hard to ensure she gets the best possible care. Right now I am not sure what I can to do help. I am not a doctor and this site is not setup to provide others with medical guidance just practical guidance. However, let me ask around and if I can find you help. In the mean time I would recommend you do the following. First, create a timeline of all things your sister-in-law has done using our journey feature. Just click on the "Add Experience" button to the right of your picture. This way people on the site can see she had surgery and chemo and anything else she might have done. You also might want to update her diagnosis with the exact type of breast cancer. I see that is is stage III, but is it triple negative, ductal, etc. You might also want to connect with Linda on the site. She is a stage III survivor. Then post any specific questions you have using our "Ask Network" feature. You can do this by clicking on "Ask Network" on your logged in WhatNext home page or clicking on the "Questions" link at the top. When you do we will route these questions to everyone on the network who might be able to help. For example, I live in India and I want to make sure our doctors are following the treatment protocols for her diagnosis. Anyone have a recommend as to how I can do this? You can also post questions like. This (be sure to describe what this is) is happening is this normal? I hope this helps.

It depends on who you ask. Ask my naturopath and she says that some people walk away with NED (no evidence of disease). Old statistics for stage for give us 2-3 years. My surgeon said 10 - 15 years. I have been stable for two years at stage four. There is no way to tell and statistics lie. They only show the ones who are tracked, or are on standard treatment. It is frightening and daunting but I'm with the post above. Only God knows. Blessings, L

Jivan: I am curious as to what stage, and type of breast cancer she has. As everyone has said, there are so many stages, differences in individuals, and severity of the drugs used. I had only 2 drugs. 2nd being taxol. These were for 8 tx every two weeks. I am now on my last taxol next tues. Then 33 rads txs. I am 59 yrs. of age, and most side effects I have had are very similar to most. Circular rashes, on buttocks, forehead, eyebrow. Will not go away even with cream. I have stage II invasive ductal cancer. I too wonder if this is the end of this thing. Or I am looking at years of worry and wondering if it will return. Best of luck and good will to you
