Wow you and your sister have been having a very rough time. I hope things start getting better soon. I see you are in NY, I live in what I like to call "the extreme upper west side" Just a few blocks from the GW Bridge.

I have stage IV Inflammatory breast Cancer metastasized to lymph nodes, bone and 70% of my liver. I am HR2 positive. I started this a year ago. I am doing so much better now than when I started. My Onc. predicted 5 years or better by the way I had responded to the treatment but did say I would be on treatment for the rest of my life. I have been on chemo break for 6 months now. They check my markers every 3 weeks. I do get tired easy which is a bit of a pain, but other than that I'm doing ok. I hope you have the same results. I have not given up yet. Don't you give up on her either. My friends and family are very supportive and that helps keep me positive.
      Good luck and think positive.:)

I was diagnosed with breast cancer one year ago. I had a lumpectomy and lymph nodes taken out and was getting ready for chemo and radiation when a PET scan found it had spread to a vertebrae. Tamoxifen didn't stop the spread and spots showed up in my liver. My oncologist started me on shots once a month of Faslodex and Zoladex. In the 6 months since I started those meds I've had 2 PET scans that show no signs of cancer anywhere! The side effects aren't fun but I'm healthy and happy to be alive and kicking cancer's XXX!!!

I have stage 4 BC with mets to bone and liver. As the others have said.. Don't give up there is a lot of trails and other regiments out there. If her doc is out of ideas there are other places to try. Right now I am stable and feeling good. I've had chemo which has brought things to a temporary halt. At the present I'm trying the nutrition route and trying to keep my body at an alkaline pH which is suppose to keep the cancer from growing. Don't know for sure if it working but a lot of my other lab test have improved. Tell your sister to keep fighting and don't give up. Keep positive thoughts.

Hugs to you and yours . Prayers for comfort and answers
