    Diagnosed

    Oh No

Non smoker who was being treated for a blood clot in my leg when an aggressive Doctor said "you are too athletic and healthy to have a blood clot, I would like to get a CT scan of your chest and abdomen." Next thing I know, I am on the journey of a lifetime and told I have lung cancer!

    External radiation

    Radiation

Emotionally brutal! Most lonely feeling in the world isolated on that table and listening to the buzz/hiss of radiation being flooded into you. But, where I most found Jesus was in the isolation of that radiation chamber. He carried me through.

    Daily

    Celebration

I do really try to celebrate EVERY day as a gift, a gift not to be taken for granted. May not accomplish anything special at all on that or any other day, but to take time to pray and just give thanks for that day...that is a celebration in itself.

    Chemotherapy and radiation combined

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Went into treatment very healthy...blessing from God. Did everything the Doctor and Nurses told me to do, particularly from a diet and HYDRATION perspective. Drank 120oz of water a day. Sure, peed alot, but flushing the chemicals is key if you ask me. And if a healthy athlete going in, KEEP TRAINING! Moderate it, as your body is under a professional poisoning onslaught, but KEEP TRAINING!
