    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

the chemo was one of the most excruciating things that i have ever been through. it was a major disruption to the everyday life, but it did save my life after surgery.

whether or not to go through chemo. was diagnosed at stage 3B

    Decision Point

went through a major roller coaster of emotions. was unsure of the chemo and how it would affect the body with all of the side effects.

    Celebration

after chemo, my doctor ran a PET scan of the pelvic region and she was happy to report that there was no more cancer present. the chemo had worked. woo hoo. i was so excited that i would be able to get back to a normal life once the effects wore off.

    Cancer is back/Recurred

    Oh No

after some blood work for one of my follow up appointments, my doctor scheduled a full CT scan and bone scan. once those results came in, she scheduled me a full neck to pelvis PET scan. when those results came in, i was informed that my cancer has recurred in my chest and neck regions and they want me to go through another session of chemo treatments. OH NO!!!!!! not again.
