    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

I had my kidney removed. They told me they'd use laproscopy, but I woke up to find I'd been opened from under my breasts to below my navel. It took me 4 months to get over the surgery.

    Finished treatment

    Celebration

To find out that I didn't need further treatment once the kidney had been removed. Although the cancer was quite advanced, and had taken over my entire kidney, it was still encapsulated, contained by the fat that surrounds the kidneys. Felt I'd dodged a bullet!
