    Implant chemotherapy port

    Procedure or Surgery

Stitches didn't disolve very well, that caused the incision site to remain aggravated / itchy. I did find that my own skin to skin contact was part of the aggravation.

    Minimal Side Effects: Agree

    Other

    Celebration

My wig looked like a wig yesterday. Today I put it on again and the part was on the other side and looked like it use to look. SO, I had somehow put the wig on sideways!!! HA!!

    Double Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

5/3/2013. I think having Fibromyalgia made scars itch a lot more and for a longer period of time.

    Breast Reconstruction (Implant)

    Procedure or Surgery

I had assumed the plastic surgeon would twke care of the "dog ears" of the initial incision sights of the inner part of breasts during the swop out. i was wrong. And therefore went back for that adjustment. Also, I'd asked for a balancing of sides as 9 nodes on one side, and only one on the other made them look different. My sides still itch over a year later. So hindsight is I should have had him do a minimum of cutting.

    Pain

    Side Effects

Found out most of my pain is a Fibromyalgia flare from having the double Mastectomy and not from the reconstruction. The meds I was taking are for the muscle expansion pain, and were never going to help my skin burning, itching, pain! I went to the neurologist and they're trying a different med to help with the skin tenderness!!
