    Long-term catheter

    Procedure or Surgery

They put in a central line last week, and took out my port. Right now it hurts. I was told it might be a week before it feels better. Worried it might be infected. My wife is an RN so the daily flushes and weekly dressing changes are not a problem. The radiation onc. put the line in sideways so the lines exit under my arm which makes caring for it very inconvienent.

    Home care

    Other Care

Having trouble following low microbial diet and recommendations for my BMT. Have to wear HEPA mask when I leave the house which I am still adjusting to. Doing it is easier said than done. I get a lot of unsolicited advice by loved ones who mean well.

    Health insurance issue

    Oh No

Having to pay COBRA at 1800 per month. We did get a check for back pay for 26000 by 15000 was taken out in taxes. We decided to only put me on COBRA and leave my wife uninsured. That will decrease the monthly cost to 800 per month
