    Oh No

Because of the thinking of my Dr after the surgery, no phone call for 17 days, I was shocked to be referred to an oncologist. She is moving quickly though and has scheduled surgery for Feb. 6th.

    Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

My GYN found cysts accidentally on both of my ovaries. He monitored them for months. One disappeared. One grew 25% in three months. He said it needed to come out. We did the surgery on 12/24/12. He told my husband that he thought it was all endometrial but sent it to pathology. When I met with him on January 10th, for follow up, I believed that there was no bad news, as it had been too long. On Jan 9th, he received pathology with two opinions from two hospitals that I was Cancer. He referred me to the an GYN Oncologist that day.

When my doctor removed the tumor with my ovary and tubes on 12/24/2012. he felt certain that it was only endometrial tissue. So the news 17 days later with two opinions that it was cancer shocked me.
