    Went in for depression

    Other Care

Lost my job of 20 years, unemployment ran out and we were on food stamps (which comes with medicaid). I was severly depressed and my sister n law finally convinced me to go see a Dr. and get on antidepressants.

    Other Care

Got a call after results came back in and they told me I had stage 4 cancer because it had spread to my brain.

The doctor game me the prescription for anitdepressants and suggested I get a lung exray only because I was a smoker

    Oh No

I immediately got my pills. Put the paper away for the x-ray. About 2 months went by when I saw the paper for the x-ray and said what the XXX, it is free and so I went and had the lung x-ray. She called me and said she needed to see me. I went in and she said I had Lung cancer and sent me to another Dr.

    Radiation

I had radiation on my lungs, I went for 7 weeks straight (excluding weekends. I was lucky, never got burns. It just made me tired and felt a little tightness of the lungs.
