    Genetic Counseling

    Other Care

I went to a geneticist and they tested for the P53 gene mutation. Cancer has run in my mother's side of the family.

    Gene mutation

    Oh No

I found out I have Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, which makes me 25 times more likely to get soft tissue cancers.

Should I move forward with radiation/chemo?

    Decision Point

I felt like after my gene mutation was known that I had a death sentence. I wasn't sure whether going through my current treatments was worth it.
