    Oh No

Oh No is right! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in my left breast and the axillary lymph node under my left armpit about 2 weeks ago. I've not felt well for a while now and been very tired. I recently lost my home in NC and my 16 yo and I moved in with my 22yo and her in-laws. My chihuahua would not leave me alone for a few weeks.. he kept scratching and sniffing at me. It started to irritate my chest and I began to rub it. I found the lump. As soon as I did, I knew it was cancer. I didn't need tests to tell me that but had them anyway. My dog told me something was wrong. And although he is a pain in the butt most times, he is my hero. His name is Buddy :) I had a PET scan on Thursday and now await the call from the surgeon. They had hoped to do surgery this coming week but I will have to wait and see what the oncologist thinks. So... my Oh No journey begins. I am a Christian and pray constantly. Not only for me, but for others all the time. I am a fighter and very strong most of the time. This is going to be the hardest fight to date and hope I can be strong. The living situation is not good and I have no income at this time. I feel stuck and down about that, and I worry about my recovery and survival living here. I have no other choice but pray that it changes and real soon. I've applied for SSD and SSI in April before I knew, because of other health problems. Of course I was denied. My attorney is assisting me in the reconsideration stage and will be appealing to go to hearing if I am denied again. Without the SSD and SSI, not sure what is going to happen to me. I hope I can be supportive and get support from this group. Bless all of you!
