    Remission

    Celebration

Had my post-treatment PT/CT scan, and it showed "no evidence of disease." YEA! All the treatment was worth it. Will be monitored every three months for the next year.

    Misdiagnosed

    Oh No

I have been having back pain for 5 months. I'm part of a large HMO, and all the medical professionals (two doctors, two physical therapists) who I have seen have told me it was muscular pain. I kept insisting it wasn't muscular, for the pain originated in my spine. After four months I had enough and demanded an MRI; they discovered a mass, asked for a CT Scan and additional blood tests. Turns out I have lymphoma and a 20 inch (or more) tumor in my abdomen which is pressing the nerves in my spine and causing the back pain. As scary as this diagnosis is, I welcome treatment, for it may bring some relief to the back pain.
