Diagnosed
Oh No
Can't quite believe it but trying to stay positive about it. Still I am apprehensive about the treatment.
Lumpectomy
Procedure or Surgery
Have experienced more pain than I expected and am having trouble with swelling 2 wks. after procedure.
Sentinel lymph node biopsy
Procedure or Surgery
Not the walk in the park I expected. The incision is healing nicely but it is still sore and swollen longer than I expected.
External radiation
Radiation
I had a short course of radiation. Just twice a day for 5 days. The first two days were agony keeping my arms back because of arthritis. It got better when they propped my arms. The radiation itself didn't hurt. I have been fatigued but, thankfully, no other problem from the radiation.
Hormone therapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
Arimidex is causing side effects that my oncologist doesn't acknowledge. Am having more severe arthritis pain and dyspepsia. Also cause drowsiness until I switched from taking it in the morning to taking it at night.
