Cancer is back/Recurred
Oh No
My husband has gone from limited to excessive small cell lung cancer January of 2013 and it showed up in the pancreas he had two months of remission.
Implant chemotherapy port
Procedure or Surgery
It took my husband time to heal, he found it uncomfortable until the muscle healed. I suggest that if you have a favorite side to sleep on have the doctor place the port on the opposite side.
Chemotherapy and radiation combined
Drug or Chemo Therapy
my husband had 6 rounds of chemo Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday with Thursday being a Neulasta shot, at the same time he was getting radiation he received 35 radiation treatments to the lung, 10 to the brain for prevention. He then went into remission for only 2 months it spread now to pancreas he went through 3 rounds of chemo and is now undergoing 15 rounds of radiation to try and shrink the tumors in the pancreas
Internal radiation
Radiation
Caused great exhaustion and when he received the 35 to his lungs the burns went from inside to blisters on his back. May I suggest using Aloe straight from the plant, that is what gave him the most relief
Too many to just choose one
Side Effects
Chemo brain, low blood counts, exhaustion, shaking in his sleep, horrible back pain
There is so much gone now
Loss
I have become his caregiver... He sleeps 22 hours a day... His side effects keep him from doing anything. I am on anti depressants to cope with watching the love of my life slip and realize that short of a miracle he is dying before my very eyes.
continue care or stop and work toward giving him comfort
Decision Point
This is so difficult to face more so then when we heard he had cancer
