1st "abnormal" PAP- 14 yrs old {about to turn15}
Oh No
I went for my normal yearly check up like I had the 2 years prior, all was routine during the examination through getting results. The results had come in the mail about a week or so the other times I had gone to my appointments but 2 days after my appointment my doctors nurse called me personally, she informed me that my dr had scheduled an appointment with me, that "she would like for you to bring your mother along because there would need to be some paperwork signed".... At the appointment things began with a very breif recap of PAPS, possible results when the test is normal, ect. {"normal" was not a word my doctor had ever used before that appointment} Needless to say by the end of the appointment we knew exactly what an Abnormal result was; active cancer in my cervix....
