    Side Effects

As a physician who has had breast reconstruction, I want women to demand research on the physical impact of putting implants that are cooler than your core body temperature near your vital organs; heart, lungs, and immune system. This issue has not YET been addressed by the surgeons, implant makers -- I PLAN TO MAKE THIS A GLOBAL ISSUE. We must stop being used as guinea pigs by the health care industry to make their "fortunes". Lowering your body temperature can kill you--not just make you feel cold. Take the temperature of skin over your implants (especially in reconstructed breasts, the implant is under the chest muscle) with a thermometer meant to be used on skin. Write down the temperature. My temp averages 84 degrees. Our skin temp should be around 97 degrees. Depending on the person, the heart may beat irregularly at a temperature at 95 degrees. How do we warm up implants continually when they are placed "inside" your body?
