I was totally surprised when the diagnosis came, even though my Mom had endometrial cancer when she was 54.

    Oh No

I was 47. Had been having a few issues for a few months, but didn't think much of it. Thought it was related to perimenopause and that's what my Dr.'s thought, too. After a D & C, endometrial cancer was discovered.

    Procedure or Surgery

I had robotic surgery (DaVinci). It was truly remarkable. I was sore for awhile, but compared to my Mom's abdominal procedure, I was very fortunate to have my hysterectomy this way. I recovered quite nicely. I find that the loss of estrogen has changed the way I feel and it certainly has affected my relationship with my husband. :(
