they have given my mother "8-12 mo."

    Loss

It all started about a year ago. When the family was informed via a conference call, that the strangest women I know had Cancer and that it is Lymphoma and that there are 2 kinds the non aggressive one that could come back. Or the aggressive one that could be treated and when gone not come back. Year had gone by and last Saturday my mom gathered us all again in a hotel room after a nice breakfast to break the news to us, that as much as she had endured this pass year and after all the trips to city of Hope, that there is no hope left, she had 8-12 mo. and she has made plans for everything. At this moment she is in the hospital because of the pain. If one were to see my mom, she looks normal. You could not tell, she is sick except for the pain she is in. I feel so helpless...

    Decision Point

So, it looks like the time frame that was given was way off. Today the doctors have suggested hospices and making her comfortable. What happen to the 8-12 months. She does not look sick, I am not sure how to feel? Sad, angry, numb, I am not ready to say good by.
