    Colon surgery (colectomy or hemicolectomy)

    Procedure or Surgery

My husband was diagnosed with rectal cancer this past January and the drs immediately scheduled him for surgery with the intent of resectioning. This didn't happen as the tumor was much larger (T3) than the surgeon originally thought. We instead ended up with more of an "exploratory surgery" which prepped him for radiation and chemo by also doing a ileostomy to minimize side effects. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Severe Nausea

    Oh No

Today is his first day of radiation/chemo and he's so nauseous even with antinausea meds. Is this something others have experienced (nausea with colorectal cancer even when not currently in treatment)?
