    Diagnosed

    Oh No

Had emergency surgery on Dec 1 2011 for what I thought was appendix, and surgeon thought was ruptured ulcer. Makes since, I am a Emergency room nurse. Well found 17cm ruptured cyst on left ovary. removed ovary and tube but unable to do anything else. What in the world just happened? To Oncologist in Mobile Alabama, Mitchell Cancer institute the next week. Is this really happening... Well I have always been a fighter and guess now we will fight again.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

first round of Chemo with taxotere and carboplatin( Now 12 days out) tolerated well, although I have a new appreciation of fatigue. Had metallic taste in mouth for 1-2 weeks but now doing better. Nausea not as bad as I had expected after the first 3 days. Generally feeling good. Next Chemo set for Jan 12th.
