Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE)
Procedure or Surgery
Had TACE 3 times.
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
Have been on Nexavar since November, 2012.
I am in a clinical trial at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute in Nashville
Clinical Trial
Got results from a PET Scan I had only 3 weeks after being on the trial drug, and it appears the lesions have decreased in size. Being in a clinical trial is a huge commitment. I have a 6 hour drive to Nashville and have to go every week. But if it works, it will all be worth it. You cannot have a "needle phobia" and be in a clinical trial!
