    Procedure or Surgery

My husband has had several surgeries in the past including open heart. This surgery REALLY took it out of him for a good 3 months and was re-hospitalized 3 times after :(

    Feeling blindsided

    Oh No

my husband had a routine chest x-ray in the E.R. they found 2 very small nodules on his lung. To make a long story short, he had surgery in January and was totally cleared by the surgeon. Family doc reccomeded a pulminolgist who in turn sent him to an oncologist who did a pet scan in March and found the cancer has spread. Chemo started that same week.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

My husband experianced multiple side effects. His red count and white count dropped the week after chemo. Then the following week he had a fever, his 02 dropped dramatically and he had congestive heart failure. He missed his second round of chemo last week and will be having it tomorrow. Kinda worried what this round will bring :(

My husband had a PET scan today and got the results! The chemo has attacked the cancer pretty well. However, his oncologist feels the side effects are to hard on him so she is gonna discontinue the chemo until August when she'll re scan and go from there! I'm glad that the chemo has been effective!!
