    Procedure or Surgery

Surgery was to debulk the tumors and the surgeon did the best he could considering how much there was.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I did all right. The side effects could have been much worse. The drugs that they gave to stop me fro throwing up worked well. Other than being tired, I did fine.

    External radiation

    Radiation

radiation surgery. It was 4-6 weeks before the pain completely subsided. The cancer did not completely go away. Another area was found a month later and treated the same way. I knew chemo was next

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

This round of chemo was easier, but the chemo was not as effective. The tumors didn't respond as well and I had 8 instead of 6 treatments. The PET scan showed some activity in the initial area where it all started. I elected to have my surgeon to cut it out.

    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

After my 2nd round of chemo the PET scan showed some activity in the initial area where it all started. I elected to have my surgeon to cut it out. I took a lot longer to recover than I anticipated. I was tired all the time and it lasted for a little over 2 months.

    Cancer is back/Recurred

    Oh No

5 months after surgery, the cancer is back in the same area of the surgery. I am angry about the situation. I expected that I would be good for a year at least. I am not ready to jump back into chemo, but this is probably my only option. A third round of chemo. I thought I was beating this thing!

Looking into freezing the tumor inside my body

    Decision Point

A new procedure that my surgeon presented. I will try it as long as it is approved by my insurance. At least it might postpone the eventual 3rd chemo series.

New PET scan shows no growth

    Decision Point

The tumor has not grown in the last 3 months. I will see my oncologist to discuss possible radiation surgery.

    Oh No

PET scan confirmed a tumor on my secum and it is growing and becoming painful. Options are surgery or radiation surgery. Good news is that the tumor on the liver is shrinking without treatment.
