    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

My first 4 treatments of Adriamycin and Cytoxin went well. Once I started Taxotere, I developed neutropenic fever and was in the hospital for 8 days, 3 of them in ICU. Had many side effects besides the NF.

    Fever

    Side Effects

I had many side effects, the worse being neutropenic fever. My last 4 treatments caused chemo brain, rashes, peripheral neuropathy, sores in my mouth, fatigue, loss of appetite, loss of finger and toe nails to name a few.

    Celebration

What a relief! But I am alive to celebrate more birthdays. With triple negative breast cancer, there was always the threat that it would be back, but I was one of the blessed because here I am, 9 years later.
