    Procedure or Surgery

Right breast DCIS in Stage 0. Had mastectomy and Sentinel node biopsy which was negative. Very fortunate. This was detected after a Mammogram. I have had my yearly Mammogram on left and was okay. I think cancer is the scariest word you can hear. I never worried about breast cancer and when it was discovered I felt good. The cells had not broke out of the duct so I was blessed it was caught in time.
