    Chemotherapy and radiation combined

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

My husbands first round of chemo ([email redacted] a week) was 5hrs for each infusion, plus he had daily radiation for 6wks and 3 days. Second round of chemo was 6 infusions 3 wks apart each taking apx. 45minutes. He now takes Tarceva, orally, every day and so far it has kept the cancer from becoming active again.

    Side Effects

First round of chemo didn't bother him much, radiation didn't bother him until the last few weeks then he was just so tired all the time. Second round of chemo started seeing a lot more of the fatigue and the lack of appetite started, With the Tarceva now,he's tired a lot of the time, lacks energy on most days, and occasionally lacks appetite.
