    External radiation

    Radiation

The first 2-3 weeks of rad went fine. Then my breast started getting sunburnt. I told the dr and she examined me and prescribed creams. It just gradually got worse and I kept telling my dr, then 2 days after my dr appt, I got a high fever. Went to ER, they admitted me, had blood work. They said I had a bacterial infection inside my breast. They tried to drain it with no sucess and me screaming in pain. Finally 2 days later, they did surgery. So now I have 3 drains coming out of my breast, go on tues to get them removed. Was in hosp. 4 1/2 days, drugged up. Did 28 days of rad instead of 31. This started out so easy and ended terribly.
