Cancer has spread/Metastasized
Oh No
Diagnosed with uterine cancer while on vacation in Las Vegas( I live on Long Island, New York.). After flying back on Christmas Day 2011, I am able to secure an appointment to see a gynecological surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering for dec 31. Hysterectomy scheduled fo 1/14/12. After lung biopsy for suspicious lung nodules is performed on 1/12/12, it is determined that uterine cancer has already spread to my lungs. Since hysterectomy is already schedule, I go through with it on 14th. It is discussed that I would have chemo after recovery from surgery

Cancer is back/Recurred
Oh No
Ct exam in December shows resurgence and growth of cancer nodules on my lungs. Doctor says chemo is no longer working and needs to find new chemo/trial for me.
Should I participate in clinical trial in New York City?
Decision Point
Schedule meeting in Jan 2013 to discuss trial participation at memorial Sloan Kettering, only to find out that heart issue disqualifies me. Very frustrating and scary since cancer is growing during all this time!
