Diagnosed
Oh No
To think that my life changed completely after having a routine mammogram is something that,at times, is mind boggling.

Sentinel lymph node biopsy
Procedure or Surgery
I had the sentinel node biopsy on the same day as my lumpectomy so it was a very long day...
Mammosite
Procedure or Surgery

Implant chemotherapy port
Procedure or Surgery
I don't know if I would bother having this procedure if I had known that I would still have to have my blood drawn from my arm. Not too many oncology nurses want to use the port as it can be tricky.
Internal radiation
Radiation
I had Mammosite right after my lumpectomy. The most painful part was the removal of the ports at the end of the treatment. It definitely was a shorter procedure and was not painful as far as the radiation was concerned.

Celebration
I rang the bell in celebration of my last chemo infusion and made sure that I sent a photo to many friends without my hat!!!
Survivorship Clinic
Other Care
I went to a survivorship clinic meeting today with a wonderful fellow survivor who spent over an hour with me to give all types of great info and positive comments to make the road even more definitive for me. I have only to look forward and upward to live a full and rewarding life! God glass the Gibbs Cancer Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina!!!
