I had a grand mal seizure on February 3, 2010
Oh No
I had never had a seizure before, but in retrospect there were some signs that I missed and three doctors had missed in prior years that should have indicated an MRI was a good preventative tool.
Surgery
Procedure or Surgery
I had an awake craniotomy at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in June 2010.
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
I did not have any negative side effects from the chemo therapy drug - Temodar. Other than being very tired, I did not feel poorly.
External radiation
Radiation
Other then seeing myself as a bald man for the first time in my life, i had no adverse side effects from the radiation. A positive outlook going in to me helps to ensure a positive outcome.
Allergic reaction
Side Effects
Alergic reaction to one of the seizure medications. Hives for a few days, other than that nothing.
Finished treatment
Celebration
October 2011 - a great day and I remain cancer free to this day.
