    Removal of testicle

    Procedure or Surgery

After his surgery, my son's girlfriend left him because of "issues" in that area.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

The chemotherapy drugs that my son is recieving are very strong. At first, he had no nausea. However, after the 1st 5 day treatment cycle, he is now having daily migraine headaches, nausea, and starting to lose his hair.

    Health insurance issue

    Oh No

My son has very limited health insurance through Polk County Health Plan. His prescription coverage is WellDyneRx. They are refusing to cover any pain medications for him. Meanwhile, the chemo drugs are coursing throughout his body and he is having severe headaches daily.

    Health insurance issue

    Oh No

I emailed both the insurance company who is not covering Raymond's pain meds, as well as the maker of the pain meds that he is supposed to have already had authorized. The manufacturer of the meds states that he qualifies for free medication under their guidelines! Please pray for it... I'm faxing the application today.

Getting the Ball Rolling on a Fundraiser

    Milestones

I have started a fundraiser to cover Raymond's excess prescription costs and transportation costs to and from treatment, as well as any other expenses we will incur from this illness. I hope this is the proper place to insert the link. If not, someone please let me know. Thank you. Link: https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/c192/raymondshope

    Chemo brain

    Side Effects

I think that's what it's called. My son has been waking up daily with migraine headaches since the first round of chemo...

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Although Raymond experienced little to no side effects during the week of chemo, with the exception of extreme fatigue, we are finding that he is having severe migraine headaches upon waking and throughout the day. The only relief he seems to get is when he's asleep. As you all know, we are fighting the insurance company for his pain meds.

    Mood changes

    Side Effects

My son already has bipolar-caused mood swings. This is making him 10x's worse. He is flying off the handle nearly every day, despite being on his bipolar meds.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Second week of chemo is done for Raymond. Now he is sleeping alot (same as after the first round), which is good because when he's awake, he's queasy and has a migraine. Two more 5 day cycles left to do and hopefully he'll be done! Prayers up to Heaven for that, and to all of you experiencing your own journeys.
