    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I wore like a fanny pack with 5fu and had a shot of myomycin the first day. I completed the five days and was disconnected on Saturday. I started getting the side effects and by Monday in the hospital where I stayed four days. I was released for three days and went back for 28 days. I had every side effect and more and had blood transfusions and I really had to pray and fight to be here today. I was so so sick with everything, life was a very dark place.

    Radiation and chemotherapy together

    Radiation

Radiation kept me very fatiqued and the burns, the pain was something I can't even imagine today. I lived mainly in the hospital during this time and was wheeled down from my room due to chemo. I did nine weeks of radiation. It did severe damage to my nerve plexus which caused neuropathy and problems walking and continues to get work as time goes by..

    Misdiagnosed

    Oh No

I had gone to the doctor 15 times sent to a gastrologist and had a colonoscopy so how did they miss it? I finally called a surgeon out of the phone book and asked the person that answers the phone if the Dr removed hemroids because that was what I was told I had. I made my appt and had my surgery and when went back for my check up was told I had cancer. This was the furthest thing from my mind. My mom passed away 6 months prior and father 4 months prior to me due to cancer. WOW, and the journey began.

    Pain

    Side Effects

It has been over 7 years since treatment. I still experience extreme pain uncontrollable with pain med from radiation damage to the nerve plexus, hips developed bursitis, still get burn rashes, memory problems getting worse. Has anyone else had long term side effects that will never get better. The neuropathy is the worse. Very painful and experiencing numbness in toes and feet.

    Possible cone biopsy or hysterectomy.

    Other Care

I have now learned I have squamous cells and the hpv virus. After having anal cancer this another slap in the face. I was told the cancer would return with one to two years. Are there any supplements recommended or foods to concentrate. Has anyone had anal cancer reoccur?
