    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I embraced chemo because it was my chance to fight. I listened to my nurses and my oncologist and I was never sick. I did have tiny veins, so I had to get a port. Also had treatment with Herceptin for HER2+ breast cancer. One year of weekly infusions because I had a slight allergy to the drug and had to receive special pre-meds and could not tolerate the 3 week dosage.

    External radiation

    Radiation

Hated it, but I made the right choice to have it. My cancer wasn't properly staged because my breast biopsy and my PET/CT scan were conducted too close together. If nodes were involved I would have a 33% chance of a re-occurrence without the radiation. Had to go for it to be safe.
