    Ileostomy

    Procedure or Surgery

Total rectum removal. I had no idea I would wake up with a 13 inch scar down my abdomen. I couldn't eat much for months, was on narcotic painkillers for 6 months. My vagina fused to the rectum from radiation treatment, causing additional surgery. My ostomy output is quite high. I didn't heal sufficiently to allow chemotherapy. I haven't been able to work for 9 months.

    liver biopsy

    Procedure or Surgery

They had trouble finding the lesion with ultrasound. A new doctor was called in and she had to spread my ribs with me on my side to reach the lesion. I didn't initially receive any pain killer, but as I was practically ripping the sheet, crying, and moaning they eventually were able to numb me sufficiently. I hurt internally for more than 2 weeks, though the incision was quite small and healed quickly.

    High daily bowel movements

    Side Effects

Pattern emerging: colon overactivity starts at 6 BM per day, increases to mid teens for a couple days, then spasms frequently ending in diarrhea, then no BM for about 24 hours. By then I'm exhausted
