    Oh No

Yuck. We have both lost spouses to cancer. How is this happening again. First thought This cancer looks to be treatable.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

The new miracle drugs for myeloma work in 100pct of patients. We soon learn that husband is outlier because they are not working. Are we cursed with bad luck?

    Side Effects

There is no 'any and all' choice for sides effects. Lots of them.. Keep thinking that there must be a silver lining here.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

High dose chemo. Blood counts close to zero. Scary to have no white cells left. Waiting. Surprisingly, tho, it seems to have worked. Cancer is halted in tracks, myeloma protein is going down. Big relief and a little hope creeps not our lives again.

    Clinical Trial

Last therapy stopped working and now onto ct. Drug is referred to as late-stage drug. Not sure if this means the patient is late-stage or this is the latest in a class of drugs. Either way. Kinda scary thinking it may not work. More likely than not it will work for a little while. How long it will work and what comes next is hard to fathom.

    External radiation

    Radiation

Process not bad but husband has esophagitis. So painful and he loses 20 lbs. it's taking forever to heal. Cancer continues to grow. Beginning to feel like Job. People at the stores are busy shopping for Xmas gifts. Many rude and thoughtless. Why is this striking us. Cancer attacking us feels personal. Why does my 10 year old have to go through this a second time.
