    Procedure or Surgery

surgery went great, but unexpected cancer diagnosis after negative biopsies on nodules 2 mos prior to total thyroid removal. I had 2 nodules in left thyroid that were pushing on my throat. 1 nodule in right lobe that did not bother me. had microscopic papillary cancer in both lobes.

    Decision Point

I had a wonderful Nuclear Medicine consult and the Doctor explained entire pathology report to me and also the need for the treatment.
