I had no symptoms at all. I was having lower GI trouble. All I had was a change in bowel movements.

    Oh No

If it had not been the suggestion of the GI MD I would not have had the upper GI done. She caught this early. She is my first angel.

To fight..I am a nurse and know what I am in for. To relax and keep positive. To never work another day as my co workers were the main cause of my stress in my life.

    Decision Point

Had complications and tried to be the nurse.... when I gave it to God my experience has been more peaceful an managable

I have been blessed by family and friends. They are part of my fight and keep me positive .

    Other Care

The insurance companies are the worst to deal with you should not have to prove an illness with a 21% survival rate over and over and fight for what you paid for!

    Health insurance issue

    Oh No

Long Term Disability company threat letters to cancel my coverage if I don't provide information I was in a coma in the hospital from complications and had to have the Pallitive Care case worker call MD's for me and fax the paperwork. They really did not care how sick I was or if I could handle the additional stress they caused!

    Job

    Loss

job eliminated me as soon as my family medical leave was up. Had a second operation due to complications and MD would not release me back to work. They called it voluntary termination. Great appreciation for serving the sick for 30 plus years of my life.

    Psychosocial

    Other Care

Dealt with depression and fear. It has been and still is a long going journey . I lost a lot and weight 140 lbs in two years and had to deal with med adjustment for blood pressure, thyroid, hormones, and depression meds/ I had a hard time converting from tube feedings to real food and am still at a daily fight to eat to live. I must eat every two hrs and drink almost on a constant basis to live and I am still loosing weight and am frail and afraid that I may get too skinny to fight. I went from 274 to 125 and I can see my bones and ribs.. don't like this look
