    Oh No

Actually diagnosed with cervical cancer 12 years ago....had surgery, chemo, and radiation. Life went back to normal until 2 years ago and I was diagnosed with cancerous lymph nodes in the cervical area. Took 4 rounds of chemo and was told upon a new scan, it was gone. Then June of this year it came back with some spreading and a spot on my liver. Took chemo for 6 months and it didn't work. I am on break from chemo taking an anti hormone pill and super healthy eating and vitamins. If the ca125 scores drop, will continue. If not, will begin new chemo in late Jan.

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

The first time it was FU5, a very appropriate name, I think. and cysplatin. They used these the second time also. This time I was on Taxol.

    Side Effects

Of course, hair loss. This time I lost lashes and brows, which really sucks. Bought some fake lashes but have not tried them yet...I don't look too bad or that's what everyone says... I had been in great shape during chemo, went dancing, traveled, everything.

Then my leg started swelling and found out there was a blood clot. I went to hospital for 5 days and on blood thinners. I can barely walk, use walker and wheel chair to go out. Extremely upsetting as I am a on the go person.
