    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer in my left lung. It is a huge mass so had to have been there a long time and I had no idea.

    Procedure or Surgery

I started radiology and chemo last week. I am taking Paclitaxel and Carboplatin. So far so good. I did not really feel up to par the next day or so. I had no bad side effects really. No upset stomache. I admit I was a bit tired for a couple of days. My joints did hurt a bit. From what I read of some other people's experiences I feel very lucky.

    Chemotherapy and radiation combined

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

The anemia, cancer and combination of radiation and chemo made me totally fatigued. It was worth it. They ran a head scan and total body scan. It has not metastized and it is shrinking. It is working. I have no family to help which is hard at times. I do have dear, dear friends and they all help as they can. I am also hiring some help when fatigue hits hard. At least I get driven to and from treatment by friends and a person I hire when friends can not help.
