    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I was the healthiest person on the planet; perfect weight, worked out every day, no smoking, never any drugs, no sugar, ate healthy, drank minimally, no family history of cancers. All I could think of was, WTF, why me?

    Lumpectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

I was so blessed. Lymph nodes were clear and my surgeon got all of the margins. The lump was stage two. 2.3 centimeters. She was so skilled, you can't even tell I had surgery.

    Went as Expected: Strongly Agree
    Minimal Recovery: Strongly Agree
    Minimal Side Effects: Strongly Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Strongly Agree

    External radiation

    Radiation

I could not have a mommosite, but I did receive targeted radiation. Two times daily for one week. The treatments kind of kicked my XXX in terms of "vim & vigor". But, I am 5'7" and was 107 lbs. when I went to surgery, so I was very scrawny!

    Painless Experience: Strongly Agree
    Minimal Side Effects: Strongly Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Strongly Agree

    Decision Point

I decided not to have chemotherapy, herceptin, and tamifloxin. It seemed like the side effects out-weighed the benefits. I couldn't deal with the thought of the equivalent of "antifreeze" being poured down my viens, when I had always worked to be so healthy. My surgeon and radiation oncologist cried when I told them.

    Alternative drugs

    Other Care

I decided to build up my immune system, rather than tear it down. I take 4.5mg of Naltrexone SR daily. I give myself a shot of Iscador and Lium Plumben every other day and a shot of B-complex vitamins once a week. I am under the care of an alternative MD in southern Indiana. I still take my bio-identical hormones, vitamins and work out and eat right. I have gained back 15 lbs.

    First Mammogram since treatment

    Celebration

Just had my mammogram and it was all clear!!! I now have a "four-month reprieve from the warden"! So, I can breath for another four months and thank God for his blessings. God is great . . . every day. I pray for all of us every single day and night.
