Cancer has spread/Metastasized
Oh No
my breast cancer had already spread when it was diagnosed.
rods placed in spine
Procedure or Surgery
I did not have a clue that I would have to have this procedure done when I went in to the hospital with breast cancer. My spine was so ravaged by the breast cancer that it was the only way to save my spine. The recovery has been slow even though my surgeon says I am doing very well. I am used to being outside riding my horses and lifting hay bales. Not now, though. The recovery, side effects, and impact to daily life have been overwhelming to a girl that is used to every outdoor horse related activity that has been a part of my life for the last 40plus years.
Bone strengthening drugs
Drug or Chemo Therapy
the only reason the infusion is difficult is because my veins are hard to access. They have to poke and dig to get the needle inserted. Sometimes the veins blow. It is a painful experience just to get the needle inserted.
