Intermittent pain in breast prompted me to have a mammogram that found suspicious area, followed by ultrasound, and biopsy confirmed cancer. (Was told that breast pain would not have been present with this small size tumor. But, something was telling me to have it checked out. Lesson learned: listen to your own body.)

Chemo drugs effect on heart
Clinical Trial
Had a EKG & Muga Scan before starting chemo. Had an EKG when chemo was finished. I did have a side effect after the last treatment - heart palpitations that lasted less that 24 hours.

My boss arranged to bring in lunch for our department after my last treatment. That was a really nice surprise and I certainly appreciated being able to celebrate with my co-worker friends.

5/17/16 Had my last 6th month checkup with my oncologist (5 years cancer free!) Now, I will only see him once a year.
