    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

@ one point of the chemo I did not eat or drink for a week ! LOST 25 LBS DURING CHEMO, The Nulasta shot they gave me the next day after having chemo was the worst , gave me so much pain ,they finally reduced the amount they gave me then it was ok ! My Chemo was called TAC /Taxoterc/Adriamycin/Cytoxan I learned getting a port is a personal decision ! The nurses prefer that you have one it is safer for you and them , but the Dr.s don't agree !

    Easy to Do: Disagree
    Minimal Side Effects: Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Disagree

    Double Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

during surgery the pathologic said no Lymph Nodes were involved so they closed me all up and a week later when the final Path came in I had 1 0f 4 lymph nodes with tumor on the left side right side had 0 of three removed ! I was really scarred when they had to remove fluid from my chest on both sides , but it was ok didn't hurt because I didn't relies that I would be numb ! all over

    Went as Expected: Agree
    Minimal Recovery: Agree
    Minimal Side Effects: Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Agree

    External radiation

    Radiation

Instead of having more Lymph nodes remove by surgery they opted for radiation treatments ! I had 28 days of radiation on my left breast ! was more scary because I didn't know what would be happening ! some people burn a little I did not ! only thing I was disappointed to hear was that they killed the bottom of my left lung and said I would not notice it unless I was an athlete ! I think I do notice it some when I walk my 2 miles !

    Painless Experience: Strongly Agree
    Minimal Side Effects: Strongly Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Strongly Agree

    Chemo brain

    Side Effects

I still have what they call a chemo brain ! very forgetful, I had to have a blood transfusion during my Chemo treatments ! Very fatigued during my Chemo. Didn't want to wake up with hair all over my pillow so my son came up and we cut our hair short which made it fun ! because I lost all my hair. I have neuropathy in my feet .
