Turned fifty, Ocotober 2011. Colonoscopy scheduled for 12/19/11. Told by GI doc I had a tumor in my colon, pathology confirmed cancer, GI doc thought it may be early onset. Had surgery January 2012. Surgeon told me tumor had penetrated right wall of colon and I had inflamed lymph nodes near penetration. Pathology confirmed lymph node involvement. sixteen of the twenty lymph nodes removed had cancer. Stage IIIc.

Surgery went extremely well. In hospital for 2 days. No pain. Home and in second week of recovery.
