    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I had a hard time dealing that i had a tumor the size of my heart wedged between my breast bone and chest wall. I loved everything i did. I just got out of high school had a new job and i was ready to go on with life. But im the type of person i feel like everything happens for a reason if God wants it too it will happen.

    Implant chemotherapy port

    Procedure or Surgery

I ended up with the port and I got it on my left chest side. Everyone that accessed my port said it was very deep and just blamed it on because it new.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Well the first chemo I did I ended up in the hospital my fever got to 103.6 and they kept trying to get it done and it was not coming done for anything. They took blood and blood cultures to see if anything was in that. Well they sent me to a room up on the pediatrics unit. I was in the hospital for a whole week. The worst week of my life. I went from being in a high fever to finding out I had MRSA in my blood that nearly killed me. So they took the port out because the port is what caused the infection. I was in complete isolation. I had to be very careful of what I ate to everything I did. I hated it. Hospital food is the worse besides the eggs in the morning.

    Infection

    Side Effects

My side effects were not your normal chemo because I had not started out normal I had to wait for me to be done on my antibiotics before I could get a new port so they put a temporary pic line in my right arm well I had it maybe a month and it clotted off with. A blood clot so they switched it to my left arm and I had continual bleeding from where they had inserted yeah that was no fun either so about the time I was healthy enough to get a new port they took my pic line out. For side effects though it changed so much with each chemo was different. My doctor and the docs office called me the problem child. :)
