    Problem with doctor

    Oh No

I am not the patient, so I can only be there to support the decisions he makes and help where I can. He doesn't not have health insurance, so he depends on the county welfare health system, called the "Clinic Card Program", and the system is a snails pace at doing things. He has had three procedures done starting with his bladder surgery, which they removed a blockage and required him to have a cath for a couple of weeks, but was left in a month to long by the doctor who kept canceling his appointments for what reasons unknown and caused an infection and more problems. He's aquired an attorney, and they are working on his disabilty and medical care, but it is so fustrating to watch him be in so much pain. He is at the mercy of Nueces County and Christus Spohn Health System for treatment. His primary doctor gives him pain meds that according to my boyfriend don't even touch his pain level and so he goes for walks and trys to destract himself from the pain till the point he can't take it anymore and goes and spends anywhere from (4) four to (10.5) ten and half hours waiting to get some relief from pain management in the ER by a shot or a patch. Then, they referrer him to his Oncologist, which luckly he now has appointment with, on Feb 15th, which was made two weeks ago and was on the 20th, but after our last visit to the ER the attendng DR was able to get them to move it up to the 15th. So he waits...and I wait with him :)
