Diagnosed
Oh No
I had a breast reduction , after two years of having mammograms, ultrasounds every six months for having calcium deposits in my left breast every time the radiologist would come back with results of it nothing changed . Doctor wanted to have a biopsy done he was denied radiologist said that they wasn't any change or enough of a change to have a biopsy done. Went back to Primary Care Physician wanted to be referred to a Plastic Surgeon to start the process of reduction which i have wanted to do for a while, was having back , neck and shoulder pain, also arms were going numb. After six months of going through the process from the insurance to see if i had the requirements for the surgery I was accepted! Had surgery on a Friday, was happy with the results! Doctor called me on Tuesday the following week to give me the news that the test results from the pathologist came back with cancer in some of the tissues. Went for my appointment on Thursday that same week to have my stitches looked at and ended up having another appointment with a breast specialist upstairs and having surgery schedule two weeks later to have my left breast removed ! It was a over whelming appointment !

Loss
I was devastated when the breast specialist told me that i was going to have to have my breast removed. But in the next breath was glad that i was in one breast and not both. Plus she didn't want to go in and remove what they thought was cancerous and what wasn't to go back and do it again. Better to take it all and make sure its all gone!
Decision Point

Procedure or Surgery
I agree with both surgeons to have the breast removed to make sure the cancer was all gone than to have doubt
