    Double Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

I recovered very quickly. Surgery went well, I was able to stay positive and I think it sped recovery up. Slept in my own bed first day home. No problems.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I have been out of work since surgery. I am unable to lift up to 50 pounds. After 3rd treatment I felt wiped out after steroids keeping me up. Also body aches were more extreme after each treatment.

Had to take 8 days of steroids following chemo. treatments because of allergic reactons (rash all over and joint pain). Gained 20 lbs.

    Finished treatment

    Celebration

Last chemo. treatment so that means no more steroids either. Maybe a good nights sleep soon.

    Breast Reconstruction (Implant)

    Procedure or Surgery

Had tissue expanders put in. It hurt more than mast. Alot of discomfort but I'm only 1 week since surgery.
