    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

2010 DX, hospitalization for 1 month for chemo: Cytrabine (Ara-C), Daunarubicin and ATRA, then 2 rounds/3 daily sessions each as outpatient. Last consolidation round in hosp 4 days. Atra as maintenance for several months. 2013 -Relapse. Arsenic Trioxide and Atra. Hospitalization 2-1/2 months. 40mg ATO nearly killed me, took brain down and one night stopped breathing. ATO stopped but not before it caused major muscle degeneration and neuropathy. Required PT/OT to stand/walk/turn over/get in-out of shower etc. After 2 months resumed ATO at 10 mg.
